A practical and effective additive. It protects coiled tubing, downhole equipment, and oilfield tubulars (including chrome alloys) from corrosion during operations using hydrochloric (HCl) acid or HCl blended with acetic, formic, or hydrofluoric acids in high-temperature wells. CI-42 is a nonacetylenic organic-based acid corrosion inhibitor for use in acidizing applications. It can also be used with Hy Temp intensifiers to provide the most cost-effective protection at even higher temperature than 300⁰F.
