The Aquaness ARCOR™ 5127 corrosion inhibitor is a 100% active dimer-trimer acid, and is used to neutralize intermediates. Oil solubility and water dispersibility can be altered by using dispersants in these formulations. ARCOR 5127 corrosion inhibitor can be simply diluted to yield an oil-dispersible corrosion inhibitor for use in squeeze treatments. ARCOR 5127 corrosion inhibitor can be used to neutralize imidazoline or polyamido amines. The salts that are formed show little or no water dispersibility; however, by using dispersants like ARCOR 5458 corrosion inhibitor, ARCOR 5420 corrosion inhibitor or ARCOR 5421 corrosion inhibitor, various degrees of water dispersibility can be obtained. ARCOR 5127 corrosion inhibitor can be diluted to 25% to 30% activity with aromatic solvent to yield an oil dispersible corrosion inhibitor for use in gas or gas condensate wells.
