Our setting tools and wireline accessories offer more running options for your remediation operations. These products save you time and money by letting you choose the most effective and affordable deployment method for your situation. We offer tools for high pressure/high temperature wells and highly deviated wells. Several models are designed to save you time by completing multiple tasks in one trip.
The Model E-4™ wireline pressure setting assembly (WLPSA™) sets bridge plugs, cement retainers, and production packers on electric wireline. It's used with a casing collar locator for correlation of exact setting depth. The Model E-4 WLPSA is a gas-generating tool for the gradual development of hydraulic force required to set wireline deployed tools. Gas pressure is obtained by the electrical ignition of a BP-3S™ igniter that activates the secondary igniter and the power charge.
The Model E-4 WLPSA incorporates a disk bleeder valve to ensure safe and simple pressure bleed-off prior to disassembly after being run. The firing head connects the Model E-4 WLPSA to the collar locator on the electric wireline, providing electrical ignition of the powder charge through the primary and secondary igniters. The top end is blank, so threads can be machined to fit the electric wireline provider's collar locator. The firing head is available separately.
Our Model E-4 HP/HT wireline pressure setting assembly (WLPSA) is used for the gradual development of force through pressure, which operates the WLPSA in proper sequence. This ensures successful setting of bridge plugs, retainer production packers, cement retainers, and other tools deployed on wireline. It has a temperature rating of 450 deg. F [232 deg. C] and a pressure rating of 25,000 psi.
The Baker Standard Power Charge, (Product Family No. H43764) provides an economical power source for the E-4 W.L.P.S.A. This power charge can be used to set simple tools in non-severe well conditions.
The following guidelines should be used when choosing power charges and igniters for all sizes of E-4™ Wireline Pressure Setting Assemblies (W.L.P.S.A.) and the Size 05 E-5™ W.L.P.S.A.
All Power Charges and Igniters should be stored in a cool, dry place. Exposure to excessive heat will reduce shelf life and should be avoided. Exposure to moisture will degrade the performance of Power Charges and Igniters
- Maximum Operating Temperature: 400 deg. F
- Maximum Hydrostatic Pressure: 15000 psi
- Maximum Setting Force (lb)*: 55,000 (lb)*.
*The force output of the E-4 wireline pressure setting assembly is a function of well conditions, and the characteristics of the device that is being set. The E-4 WLPSA will generate sufficient force to set standard BHGE bridge plugs, packers and other productds under specified conditions. Other manufacturers devices should be tested before attempting to set with the E-4 WLPSA.
Shelf Life: 5 years
The recommended shelf life for power charges, primary and secondary igniters is 5 years. This does not mean that a power charge, primary or secondary igniter that is more than 5 years old cannot be run.
