RL-4HC
The RL-4HC is a legacy Baker Hughes product with usage dating back to the 1990s. It is a family of large OD, externally shouldering conductor casing connectors available in 30" OD. The RL-4HC is designed for high capacity and contains a dual elastomer seal design to isolate threads to improve fatigue performance. The RL-4HC has a 4-start threads that provide make-up with only 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
RL-4HC connectors greatly reduce rig time to run conductor and casing strings by providing quick stabbing and make-up.
RL-4HC connectors feature self-locking 4-start threads, which provide make-up with only 1/4 to 1/2 turn of the suspended joint.
The RL-4HC has a dual elatomer seal design that has the ability to prevent water ingress to the threadform. This can be paired with optional DNV RP0034 qualified materials to increase fatigue life.
The RL-4HC connector is available in 30" OD and is available with 4 installable secondary anti-rotation devices. The anti-rotation lock is set by a portable, handheld tool. Each anti-rotation device provides approximately 40 kip-ft of resistive torque upon installation.
Hands-free, fully pre-installed anti-rotation that removes interaction with rig personnel is also available for over 100 kip-ft of system anti-rotation resistance.
